The World Health Organization states that there is no indication that dogs or cats can become ill as a result of this virus, and there is no suggestion that they can spread the disease to humans or other animals.  At this time, we have seen no unusual increase in reports of pet illness, and no documented dog or cat illnesses as a result of this virus. Although two dogs in China have tested positive for the virus, they did not become ill, and are not considered to be an important factor in the transmission of the virus. One cat in Belgium has also tested positive for the virus.  As new information becomes available, we will respond accordingly.”
