Lost and found on Super Bowl night

On the night of the big Super Bowl game, Arya’s owner was extremely excited. Unfortunately, so were the neighbors who decided to light off lots of fireworks. Although very celebratory and exciting, most pets find them terrifying. Their dog Arya got so scared she ran away from home trying to escape from all the banging noise. When Arya’s owner realized she was missing, she immediately started searching for her and decided to drive down the streets and even peering into backyards hoping to find her.

In the meantime, while Arya was running scared trying to get away from the fireworks, a nice guy saw her walking alone and knew something was wrong. He tried looking for a tag, but little did he know Arya had broken it during her escape, so there was no way for him to know who to contact. Luckily, he worked at a vet hospital and he got Arya’s microchip scanned right away.

Arya’s owner was still out driving around looking for her desperately when she got a text saying she’d been found. Within 5 minutes, Arya had been reunited with her owner, who took her straight home for a night of cuddles and treats.

Arya’s story is the perfect example of why microchipping pets is an essential practice. It’s the only permanent and reliable method to identify a lost pet, paving the way for their reunion with their worried owners.
