Sometimes referred to as “Beardie”, the Bearded Collie was developed as a herding dog for sheep and cattle in Scotland. They performed independently, herding their flock with little direction from the shepherd. It is believed that the breed is a mix of the Polish Lowland Sheepdog and a variety of Scottish breeds. The temperament of this breed can very from being very energetic and bouncy, to more laid back and calm. They generally get along very well with other animals. If kept as a house pet not a herding dog, the Beaded Collie does require a lot of grooming. They are often very vocal and express their excitement through barking. They are known as being very bouncy, a characteristic that was likely developed by bouncing up on hills to try to view more of the pack they were herding. Their harsh outer coat helps to protects them from the weather, and often changes color throughout their lifetime.

I heard about Pethealth through the Internet. My veterinarian also mentioned that Pethealth was known to handle their claims promptly and without hassle. One day, my cat Neo ate a pair of earplugs! First I took him to the veterinarian and then I called Pethealth to make sure the costs were covered. The customer care department was fantastic. Neo required extensive medical attention... surgery, medication, and overnight care. The bills were large, but I did not suffer financially - my claim was paid right away. Did I mention their staff were awesome?!
Neo is now back to doing backflips in the air and talking my ear off. He is quite the chatterbox
